Our mission is to empower students by providing a personalized and flexible learning environment that focuses on their social, emotional and academic needs. We continually research and apply evidence-based, best teaching practices for children ages 5-18 who all share one thing in common: they learn differently.

OUR STUDENT COMMUNITY

Who We Serve

Our students have strengths as well as language-based and/or attention-based learning differences, such as:

  • Dyslexia (reading and/or spelling)

  • Dysgraphia (writing)

  • Dyscalculia (math)

  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

  • Executive functioning challenges

  • School-related apprehension

We understand that these challenges can impact both academic and social-emotional well-being, and we are committed to fostering growth through support and a holistic approach to learning.

Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD):

BCCL is not an autism-support school; however, students with ASD whose primary learning needs align with our program’s focus on language-based and/or attention-based differences may be considered on an individual basis to ensure we can provide the appropriate support for success. Students should be able to engage in our classroom environment within our staff-to-student ratio, without any additional support, including behavioral or therapeutic interventions.

While we strive to meet a wide range of learning needs, some profiles require specialized services beyond what we provide. We are not able to serve students whose primary needs include:

  • Behavioral or emotional regulation challenges

  • Diagnoses requiring intensive behavioral intervention

  • Severe or profound learning disabilities, including major communication deficits

  • Neuro-developmental delays, other than ADHD

  • Global developmental delays

  • Developmental Coordination Disorder (dyspraxia)

  • Low or Borderline IQ

  • Level 2 or higher autism spectrum disorder

  • Primary mental health diagnosis

  • Complex medical needs

How To Apply

  • Step 1: Application Form

Complete the Enrollment Application and send the requested documents, including prior assessments, birth certificate, passport, and payment confirmation via email to admissions@bccl.bm. Once everything is received, we will contact you to schedule an initial meeting.

  • Step 2: Initial Meeting

A meeting is held for parents to learn more about our school, gaining insights into our educational framework and environment. From that point, a "Meet and Greet" is scheduled to include the prospective student. If it is determined that your child may benefit from BCCL's approach, the next step is to arrange an Experience Week for your child.

  • Step 3: Experience Week

The Experience Week enables BCCL to evaluate your child’s academic (math, reading and writing) abilities, ensuring they can participate in lessons that are tailored to their skill levels. This week also allows our teachers to understand each child’s unique learning style and needs.

Experience Week

Our goal is to ensure that BCCL’s approach and school environment will be a good fit for each child. Once the application process and a “Meet and Greet” has been completed, we invite prospective students to spend an Experience Week to determine eligibility. The Experience Week allows BCCL to assess a child's math, reading, writing and social skills so that they can participate in daily lessons based on their skill levels. Teachers develop a rapport with each prospective student to understand their learning styles and specific needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

“Every student can learn, just not on the same day, or the same way.”

Tuition

BCCL’s tuition is $30,200 for the 2026-2027 school year.

The BCCL advantage includes evidence-based, best teaching practices based on the U.K. National Curriculum, and the International Primary and Middle Years Curriculum created by the International Curriculum Association.

Personalized learning plans incorporate social and emotional targets, low student-to-teacher ratios, student-centered flexible classrooms and family-centered support. Tuition also includes reading and math support, off-site experiential learning with community partners and a laptop with accessibility features.

Financial Aid

We understand the considerable financial and emotional stress that comes with a child being diagnosed with a learning difference. As a registered charity (#985), the Bermuda Centre for Creative Learning Foundation continues to raise funds to offer tuition bursaries for families who qualify.

During the 2025-2026 school year 23% of our students received financial assistance. Please contact us for more information.
